The Foaming Head

A dockside tavern in Crownhold, set in a forgotten cut of stone below the cliffs where the harbour meets the dwarf quarter. Loud, well-lit despite its setting, and tolerated by the city guard as a pressure valve in a city that has otherwise been tightening for some time. The house rules, posted above the bar, are only two: the first is that there are no rules, and the second is to not damage the building. The Foaming Head is run by Dag Stiffpint. Sailors, dockhands, dwarf craftsmen, mark-wearers, and Concordate guardsmen drink under the same roof, and Dag refuses to identify any to any other. Customers self-police because they value the space. The chaos is moderate, and Dag commands enough respect to keep it that way.
